The benefits system is complicated; it can be difficult to work out what you are entitled to, and how to claim it.
Many older people in Scotland aren’t claiming the benefits that they are entitled to, despite the fact that the additional income could make a big difference to their daily lives. Our benefit workshops aim to raise awareness of the financial support that is available to older people, with advice about how and when to apply, and what to do if you are unhappy with a benefit decision.
You can take part online using the free Zoom app. All you need is a laptop, computer, tablet or smartphone, and an internet connection. We do the rest!

Applying for Pension Age Disability Payment
Pension Age Disability Payment is a new benefit from Social Security Scotland. It is replacing Attendance Allowance for people of pension age who have a disability or long-term health condition that means they need help looking after themselves or supervision to stay safe.
This workshop aims to help anyone who intends to complete a Pension Age Disability form for themselves or for someone else. It will give you information about this new benefit and the transfer from Attendance Allowance, along with strategies and tips to make the application process more simple and less daunting.
