Pension Age Disability Payment – new claim pilot expansion

 The Scottish Government has expanded the pilot for new claims to Pension Age Disability Payment. This is their replacement for DWP’s Attendance Allowance, and will expand to the following 13 local authority areas for eligible customers living in Scotland:  

  • Aberdeenshire 
  • Angus   
  • Clackmannanshire  
  • Dundee City  
  • East Ayrshire  
  • Falkirk  
  • Fife  
  • Moray  
  • Western Isles  
  • North Ayrshire  
  • Perth and Kinross  
  • South Ayrshire
  • Stirling  

 These are in addition to the initial five pilot areas introduced on 21 October 2024: 

  • Argyll and Bute
  • Aberdeen City 
  • Highland  
  • Orkney Islands 
  • Shetland Islands   
  • Pension Age Disability Payment will be made available for new claims across the whole of Scotland later in the year.
