Reforming the fit note is a key part of the Government’s plan to ensure that people get timely access to work and health support. Our aim is that this will provide better support for individuals, whist helping to reduce sickness absence and improve health outcomes.
We have issued a call for evidence to seek views of the current fit note process, the support required to facilitate meaningful work and health conversations, and help patients start, stay and succeed in work.
